Summer Outfit Inspiration: Breezy Babe
You know the pride you feel when you put together an outfit that makes you feel just so fierce? Yeah, that was me over the weekend. The weather was nice, and Adam and I were planning on spending some time with friends and family. I wanted to be casual, but also wear pieces that made me feel like I was actually styled, not just trying to keep cool in shorts and a breezy top.
First of all, I’m loving these Printed Shorts from Grace in LA . They really step up your basic denim short with colorful embroidery and patterned patches. They also fit like a glove, but comfortably with a little bit of stretch so you can still move around during summer activities. The fringe at the bottom gives it a boho look for extra detailing, but the edges are still hemmed, so I don’t have to worry about it fraying any more than it’s supposed to be.
This Pleione top is also far from your regular sleeveless blouse. While the front is textured and structured, the back splits open to reveal a pleated, thin train that falls to a mid-thigh length. This semi-open back design help keep me cool while also making the blouse look unique.
In my opinion, the shoes make this outfit really pop. These “Loud” Platform Sandals from Shellys London are just so 90s glam, and I can’t stop finding excuses to wear them. The brand is responsible for the platform shoe trend, being the brand that defined the Spice Girls’ style, so I obviously had to have these as soon as I saw them. Believe it or not, they’re pretty easy to walk in since the heel is so wide and gives you support. As their name suggests, they make a loud statement and will upgrade any outfit!
One of my go-to summer bags has been this Criss-Cross Bamboo Handbag from LandfillDzine that’s actually made out of straw and up cycled lay flat irrigation hoses! Way to reduce and reuse, right? It adds a great splash of summer color with it’s teal exterior and bright aqua interior, and it’s big enough to carry all of the season’s must-haves.
Luckily, all of these outfit elements are easy to match with other pairings, so they’ll help spice up my summer wardrobe all around!
