Vachetta leather is an untreated leather that's found on many Louis Vuitton handbags.
Because it's not treated or coated, it ends up darkening with age from exposure to the environment and the oils from our hands, giving it a "patina" that is unique to every bag.
While Louis Vuitton advises against treating or cleaning their leather, some owners like to keep it looking newer longer and prevent stains.

Try at your own risk, and always research before attempting on your own bag.
Make sure you're not saturating the leather and run the cloth over all leather evenly, so you don't leave any spots discolored.
First, I use a damp cloth with some Kiwi Saddle Soap to get dirt, oil and grime off the leather.

This helps soften the leather and prevent it from drying out or cracking.
After the leather has completely dried from cleaning, I use Apple Leather Conditioner on a soft cloth and run that over the leather evenly.

After letting the leather completely dry, I finish with an even layer of Apple Garde Rain & Stain Repellant, which will make the leather more resistant to water or liquid stains.
