Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015

If there’s any nail collection I’ve been excited about, it’s the Zoya Island Fun shades for Summer 2015. Consisting of six creamy opaque colors that are anything but dull, these polishes will keep things bright all season long. There’s not one dud in the bunch, they’re all so vibrant and fun.

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Demetria

Let’s start off with a bang: Demetria is probably my favorite of the six shades. It’s a hot, hot red-orange that really pops. It also makes you look tan!

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Jace

Jace is a very wearable Kermit green. Less out-there than a typical summer lime green, but still very vibrant. This was the only shade in the collection that absolutely needed two coats for full opacity. To me, it seemed like more of a crelly than a cream polish.

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Nana

Nana is a close second for favorite. She’s a juicy, mid-toned fuchsia that is strong and makes a statement.

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Cecilia

Cecilia is your classic summer teal, a tad deeper than seafoam green. Be cautious with this one: it’s extremely pigmented which makes it a one-coater, but be sure to put down a base coat to avoid staining!

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Talia

Talia is what I consider to be Carribbean blue, because it matches the turquoise that was painted on the walls of my hotel when I spent a week in the Cayman Islands two years ago. Oh, bring me back!

Swatches: Zoya Island Fun Collection Summer 2015 - Serenity

Serenity is an iris purple with blue undertones. It’s light enough to be very wearable for day-to-day, but still rich in color.

With the exception of Jace, all of these shades can be pulled off in one coat. These have got to be the most pigmented polishes from Zoya yet! They have a high-shine and smooth finish that you can’t help but stare at. Zoya polishes last the longest on me, and I’m rough on my hands, so they are usually the ones I reach for first when giving myself an at-home mani.

To compliment this collection, they also released the Paradise Sun collection which is more sparkly. Each Zoya polish is just $9 and can be purchased online.

Don’t forget to pin your favorite shade!

This collection is so beautiful, but I hear a lot of them are bad stainers. I guess it’s a lot to do with personal chemistry, too.

I quite like the look of Serenity. I was considering Cecelia but I ain’t down for a polish that might stain.

When I was getting my nails done last week the Zoya rep showed up with these polishes. I know Serenity will be on my nails soon.

I was torn between putting Serenity on last night and Aphrodite from the Paradise Sun collection and went with Aphrodite. These cremes are GORG
