Skin Care to Always Have on Hand This Fall

I was asked to participate in the #LetsFaceIt campaign, sponsored by Studio 35 at Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

With Fall quickly approaching, it’s time to start thinking about how we’re going to be taking care of our skin in the new season. While you may have a few luxury products that you deems splurge-worthy, there’s always room for those everyday essentials that are affordable and imperative to have on hand to tackle any new or recurring skin concerns.

Whether you’re adding products to your every day maintenance routine, or you need something to face a new skin concern, you don’t need to splurge for great products. I’ve been stocking up on affordable skin care goodies from Studio 35 at Walgreens, which is the store’s brand with a line of affordable yet effective skin care. They’re always a great value and convenient to pick up on my next drugstore run, so I love incorporating them into my daily routine.

While choosing products to incorporate into my fall skin care routine, I’m looking at what I’m currently dealing with as well as patterns I’ve noticed in my skin when it comes to Fall. Right now I’m facing (no pun intended) some deep breakouts, which I’m trying to address ASAP. I also know that my skin gets super dry and sensitive at the beginning of Fall, and being that this is my first Fall in the desert, I’ll have to double up on moisture and soothing products. Having everything on hand now will help me treat my skin with what it needs day by day… because let’s face it, there is no one-product-fits-all solution.

Face Wipes

You can never get enough facial wipes, am I right? Besides taking off makeup, Studio 35 carries wipes that do double duty for the skin. They’re a convenient way to cleanse and nourish the skin in one step.

There are two packs that I like switching between for Fall. The Micellar Facial Wipes are my favorite every-day staple, since they gently cleanse and hydrate my skin. After I take my makeup off with these, I never feel like my face is stripped or tight. They’re also fragrance-free, and great for my sensitive skin. Every few days, I’ll switch to the Exfoliating Facial Wipes. They contain green tea & cucumber, and have beads embedded in the cloth. They provide a gentle exfoliation— both physical with the wipe and natural with the green tea— to keep my skin smooth and renewed. Regular exfoliation is key to even and bright skin.

Single Use Masks

There was a time where I didn’t appreciate single-use masks as much as I do now. I preferred having huge jars of everything because I thought more was better. Little did I know how convenient they are when you want to switch up your skin care routine or deal with a isolated skin flare-up on the fly. For example, skin care products meant for acne-prone skin are typically too harsh for me to use regularly. But as I’m experiencing my first intense breakout in several months, I needed a quick fix without wasting money on product that won’t be used up completely. The facial wipe packs are 2/$9 or 1/$4.99… I always get two though because I’ll always use them, and it’s more savings!

I’m particularly loving the Deep Cleansing Mask made with Dead Sea Minerals to help with my breakouts. It goes on creamy but dries up quickly and shrinks my breakout. When I wash it off, the redness is visibly reduced. I’ll follow up with the Facial Brightening Sheet Mask to fight the dark spots that usually come with blemishes. These two are ones I’ll keep stocked in my top drawer to incorporate whenever I’m fighting face invaders!

If I’m feeling a little drier than usual, I can use the Anti-Aging Mask made with argan oil to moisturize and rebalance. The Detoxifying Mask is another great choice, made with honey to purify and hydrate the skin. The single-use face masks keep things exciting while also working hard to give me my best skin. They’re also great for multi-masking, which is the practice of applying more than one face mask at a time to target specific areas of your face. The single-use masks are 3/$4 or 1/$1.99.

I have pretty much exclusively been using micellar wipes for a while now. I like the power of the micellar water paired with a textured wipe!
