I love heading out for a gold old fashioned girl’s day at the mall. A couple weeks ago, I headed down to the Cesars Palace Forum Shops on the Vegas strip to do a little store hopping. It was my first time out with the girls since the holidays and my honeymoon, so it was nice to see everyone again and also get the latest scoop from our fave stores.
Our first stop was Sephora, where we got to learn a little bit about new products and features in the store. I was excited to see Jo Malone is making its way into Sephora— a more high-end fragrance brand with a ton of indulgent bath and body products. Definitely not a brand I can treat myself to often, but one I loooove to use when I really want a pick me up. Wherever the brand is sold, including Sephora, they offer complimentary 10-minute hand massages where you can sample the products, or even a fragrance layering experience so you can explore the range.
We also got a first look at the new Fragrance IQ— similar to their Color IQ technology that matches you to your best foundation match, the Fragrance IQ helps you find your newest signature scent. This is a super cool feature to play with if you’re in the mood for something new.
I also found out about their complimentary fragrance engraving! You can get the service with any full size bottle to make the gift a little more special. I’m going to tuck that in my pack pocket for upcoming birthdays and holidays. So cool!
From Sephora, I took home two small sample fragrances from Jo Malone that I’ll get to layer, a travel size of one of my absolute favorite face masks: the fresh Rose Face Mask, and a travel size of The Water Cream from Tatcha— perfect for the dry weather we’re having. We also grabbed some goodies from Glow Recipe, a new-to-me brand all about luminous skin.
Our next stop was Tory Burch— this store is design goals! I loved hearing about how Tory takes time out of her busy life to mentor up and coming woman entrepreneurs. We got to see the new Spring collection which focuses on pinks and oranges, and a lot of red to celebrate the Lunar New Year. She’s got a lot of fun floral patterns this season, but I always gravitate towards the simplistic, chic accessories like this Kira Tote in Perfect Sand. It’s classic, with the single logo emblem on the front, and will match a ton of different outfits.
Speaking of outfits, I wore a new one shopping! This sweatshirt dress is from Speechless Dreses at Nordstrom. It’s a thinner sweatshirt material so it’s not too heavy, and I love the ruffle details on the sleeve. It’s casual, but paired with the right accessories can be elevated for anything! I paired it with some black tights and crystal necklace.
Our last stop was Lululemon, where we got to check out some of the new styles and learn more about the inception of the brand. Rooted in functionality, these stylish pieces are perfect for staying active. I took home The (Small) Towel, which is made of microfiber and perfect for keeping dry in the middle of an intense workout. The one they gave us had a skyline of the Vegas strip, which was a nice touch! I’ve been getting acquainted with the StairMaster recently at my own gym, and I’ve needed something like this to keep from melting into the equipment. Excited to take it for a test run! I actually just got a pair of their capris for the holidays, can’t wait to make them get to work.
Another fun girls’ day out with other Vegas influencers! Let me know if you like seeing these adventures with the gang, I’ll be sure to share our future excursions.
Have you had any successful shopping trips recently? What did you pick up?
