Budgeting beauties, listen up. I’ve just discovered the easiest way to save money shopping for makeup, clothes, accessories… and literally anything else.

Between waiting for sales, finding coupon codes that work, and comparing prices between stores, saving money can be a mission. While all of these methods are great ways to stay on budget, the Raise app maximizes your savings with an instant discount at your favorite stores.

Find out how to use discounted gift cards to save money shopping, and the best app to do it with! | Slashed Beauty

The Raise iOS app and Raise Android app allow you to buy gift cards to your favorite retailers at a discount. People sell their unwanted or partially used gift cards for less than they’re worth to declutter their wallet, giving you instant savings when shopping! For example, you can find a Sephora gift card worth $200 you can buy on Raise for $188. That’s an instant $12 in savings when you shop, even without sales.

Those dollars quickly add up as you buy and use discounted gift cards. Double, or even triple, your savings when you use your gift card along with other money saving strategies. You can use gift cards during sales and alongside coupons since they’re as good as money.

Stores you can find in the app currently include Sephora, Ulta Beauty, TJ Maxx, Kohl’s, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters… and that’s just in the beauty/fashion category. They have retailers ranging from restaurants to drugstores to grocery stores to UBER!

Most eCards are delivered within minutes, which you can add to your phone’s mobile wallet for in-store scanning, or use the code for online shopping. Each purchase on Raise is also protected by their 1 Year Money-Back Guarantee, so you can feel confident shopping.

Using discounted gift cards not only lets you save on your must-haves, but also lets you splurge a little without feeling guilty. Since gift cards work like cash, you’re able to have your own personal sale, even when there are no public discounts available. This is great if you need something right away, but you’re on a budget, or you’re just impatient and need a little instant gratification.

You can also use Raise to sell your own unwanted gift cards in the app to make easy money. I’m definitely guilty of using a portion of a gift card and then completely forgetting about it or losing it. This is a great way to never let a dollar go to waste, or just get rid of gift cards you know you’ll never use.

Whether you absolutely need the latest spring beauty launch, or want to save on your next meal out, Raise is an awesome option to keep a few extra bucks in your wallet.

I browse sites for people selling gift cards below the card value. I’ve scored some awesome deals with it – but I didn’t know about this service

The only concern I’d have is making sure that the giftcard you are buying is legit. I do think it’s a good idea though.

What a creative concept! I’m trying to remember if there was ever a gift card that I didn’t use, but I can imagine that one might receive gift cards to stores that one doesn’t shop at.

Yes, I often get some that either aren’t for stores I shop at, or perhaps I just really need the cash instead.
