REVIEW: Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner

Are ya’ll tired of hearing about the wonders of tea tree oil yet? Too bad! I’m coming at ya with a review of two new products from the Parnevu T-Tree hair care line that utilize the magic oil of Australian Tea Trees to eliminate itching and flaking scalps- perfect for these dry and windy months.

I’ve struggled with an itchy and flaky scalp on-and-off since I was a kid. It got really terrible this Fall, and so I’ve been playing around with a lot of different remedies (more on that in a future post). I turned to Parnevu, who makes one of my favorite leave-in treatments, for a solution to my annoying scalp problems.

I’ve been trying the T-Tree Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner for the past month and a half. Both are only $6 and come with 12 fl oz of product.

The T-Tree shampoo has a very similar texture to a medicated shampoo I got from my doctor. Although it is not completely sulfate free (it has Sodium Laureth Sulfate), I find it to be really gentle for my scalp with almost no foaming action. Unlike with other shampoos, I don’t come fresh out of the shower with my scalp already flaking after using this.

The T-Tree Leave-In Conditioner has a thin, creamy consistency. I really like applying this while my hair is still wet after showering. Once my hair is dry, it’s really soft and my scalp doesn’t have it’s normal tight feeling.

The one thing that I don’t like about these products is the smell. Both the shampoo and leave-in conditioner smell exactly like Pepto Bismol to me. To be honest, I prefer the menthol smell of other medicated shampoos than this one.

After using these, I’ll start seeing flakes again after about 2 days. Granted, they’re much smaller and less noticeable than before. Even still, my scalp doesn’t become itchy anymore, which helps so I’m not constantly picking at it. Considering both of these products combined are cheaper than one medicated shampoo, I don’t think you have anything to lose if you experience minimal flaking. If you have a more stubborn scalp like me, though, your head may not be left completely clear.

You can buy these products and browse the rest of the T-Tree line on Parnevu’s website.

Next week, I’m going to be posting about some other itchy & flaky scalp remedies, so stay tuned!

    1. I did a review for this brand and this line a few months ago and I enjoyed it because it did help with my dry scalp… but I didn’t like the smell either. but, having used several tea tree products in the past, I know that most don’t smell great. lol Great review love 😉

    2. I was going to ask about the smell. Most tea tree products don’t smell good. I’d have to keep away from this even though it works great.
