Lux Puff: It’s Not Your Average Shower Pouf

I thought shower poufs, aka loofahs, were a necessary evil of showertime. Washcloths just don’t produce the same kind of lather that loofahs do, nor do they exfoliate as well. But let’s get real… if you don’t remember to regularly change that puppy out every few weeks, you’re probably just rubbing dead skin cells and germs and grodiness back onto yourself. The wet, humid shower is the perfect environment for bacteria to thrive, and it’s easy to forget this when your favorite body wash makes the loofah smell so delicious.

There are a ton of tips out there to help you get the most out of regular loofahs, but really… who’s got time to sit there and microwave or bleach it (especially when you typically spend a dollar on them like I used to)? Not me! So when I heard about The Lux Puff, I knew I had to have it.

Thought the wheel couldn’t be reinvented? Think again. The Lux Puff is a new type of 2-in-1 shower pouf that is half loofah, half microfiber cloth. The gentle exfoliating loofah folds into the attached microfiber pouch which doubles as a soft and absorptive washcloth. Both sides lather body washes for an easy, thorough clean.

What really sets The Lux Puff apart, though, is that it is made of Polygiene antimicrobial fabric to block bacteria growth. The fabric is also treated to protect it against odor for its lifetime! Essentially, The Lux Puff can last you years if you treat it right. Right off the bat, I felt how much sturdier it was than the 99 Cent Store poufs I had been using. I know I won’t have to worry about the unraveling that often happened with cheap poufs. They are also larger than your standard pouf, so they’re able to cover more surface area at once.

The Lux Puff is also machine-washable, although won’t need it often because of its ability to stop the growth of bacteria and fungus. This also helps it last longer since it won’t deteriorate like others do.

I’ve replaced both mine and Adam’s shower poufs with The Lux Puff, and we’re both loving them. They feel great on the skin, but most importantly we appreciate their practicality. We don’t have to worry about keeping track of how long we’ve had our poufs before replacing them, and we’re creating less waste than when we were constantly tossing worn out loofahs.

You can grab The Lux Puff in two colors: Radiant Orchid and Cobalt Blue. They’re only $7.99 and available on their website.

What’s hanging in your shower?

That’s a great idea. I throw away so many poufs because I’m afraid of the bacteria and possible mold.

I love Loofahs but they are bacteria ridden, I switch mine out or scald mine a lot hehe. This sounds awesome!

I have a whole bunch of pouffs. I use a pouf once, toss it in the wash where it gets washed in hot water and bleach, air dried and back into rotation. I don’t like to redistribute my own yuk, shower after shower. lol

Omg then this would be perfect for you! No more of that… these things kill off STAPH infection bacteria, it will do the same for your yuk lol

I LOVE how this contains the loofah. Mine is so poofy it’s always taking up too much room and knocking things over!

I’ve avoided non-washable loofahs for awhile (except for my konjac sponges) because it did feel like I’d been redistributing body ick. This looks like a great idea!

It’s true! I love how although this is washable, you’ll never have to worry about bacteria on it!
