Purple Glitter Cut Crease Eyeshadow Tutorial for New Years

With 2018 coming to a close, I wanted to do a fun makeup look for New Years Eve that incorporates my fave color… you guessed it, purple! I’m sort of purple everything these days. Sometimes I forget my hair is colored purple, and I’ll leave the house matching my outfit and nails by accident. So, why not go all out and rock some purple eyeshadow for New Years Eve?

I’ve always loved the glitter cut crease look. Even though I don’t necessarily love working with glitter personally, it’s sort of a must for New Years, am I right? Is there a better time for sparkle, really? This is a great option if you’re also not a huge fan of glitter but want to sparkle for the holiday, since it doesn’t overpower the look. (It’s also a lot easier to take off than a whole lid of the stuff!) Aside from the glitter, we’ve got a purple halo eye with a smoky winged liner vibe going on.

For this look, I used the w7 On The Rocks palette for the first time! At first glance, I think it’s pretty obvious that this palette has a similar color scheme to the Anastasia Subculture Palette (which is no longer sold in stores), but this one is only $10-$12 depending on where you pick it up! w7 is available in stores like TJMaxx and Macy’s Backstage. You can also find this palette on Amazon. The shades apply lightly but can build up to full opacity, and I found that using a concealer or sticky base made the pigment stand out the strongest.

I think this is a great look for NYE, but also fun for any night out in the upcoming year! Personally, we’re not actually going out on the town for New Years Eve, so I probably won’t end up as glammed up as this. But, I’ll definitely rock this to a concert or special occasion soon. In the new year, I’m hoping to do more glam and colorful looks like this in general, so stay tuned!

Looking very beautiful. Perfect match with the hair color and eyeshadow. I really liked the tutorial. I would like to share that, before and after makeup everyone must use a facial cleanser. Well, i am using now the 3D facial cleanser. The facial brush gives clean face 10 times better than hand facial. It makes easy to remove any kind of makeup.
