Oh, Glossybox. I’m not sure if you’ve completely won me over quite yet. I love what you bring to me every month, but shipping is ridiculous!
In case you didn’t notice, I didn’t even get my October box last month… I ended up getting it along with this month’s just last week. Awkward! I just think it’s late to even be getting the November box. I wish they shipped at the beginning of each month like most other boxes. I will say that what’s inside did make me happy, though. Check out the video below for my November 2014 Glossybox unboxing and product descriptions.
1. Kniepp Herbal Bath: Balancing Lavender (Sample Size, Retail: $20)
I do enjoy a bath from time to time when it’s chilly outside, but the water dries up my skin like a prune! Adding essential oils helps moisturize your body so that you step out with soft skin. This bath treatment contains camphor, lavender, and eucalyptus leaf oil (one of my favorite bath scents). The lavender smell is pretty strong in this treatment, which can be a bit overpowering so I might not add half the bottle as suggested.
2. 12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment (Sample Size, Retail: $20)
This product has a ton of uses and can help consolidate multiple different products into one spray! I would use it before blow drying and after styling to add shining moisture. It also contains sunscreen for the hair which is essential for keeping it healthy.
3. So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush (Full Size, Retail: $23.29)
This blush looks like a medium pink, but it’s supposed to adapt to your skin tone to create a custom flush. It’s super glowy without being sparkly, which is an effect I like during winter. This blush also contains beta-carotene and essential fatty acids from the Amazonian fruit, Buriti. When using this blush, you won’t need a highlighter at all because it creates such a noticeable radiance on its own.
4. OPI Nail Lacquer in Pink Outside the Glossybox (Full Size, Retail: $9.50)
This is my favorite item we received this month. I’m a big fan of OPI polish, and this pink is just adorable. Made to match the Glossybox packaging, this pale shade is so chic and will match any holiday outfit. The color is extremely versatile and will be worn well into next spring, too.
5. Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer (Sample Size, Retail: $45)
I’ve hear such great things about this brand, so I’m excited to finally try them. Moisturizers are the one skin care samples I actually do use from subscription boxes, especially during this season. I’m gonna be packing this when I travel to Illinois tomorrow… it’s gonna be COLD there and I know my skin is going to throw a fit.
And so, overall I thought this box was a good one. I’m a happy camper when we receive two full sized color cosmetics, and the other items will definitely be used up before winter’s over.
Glossybox is $21 and would make a perfect holiday gift that keeps on giving. Check them out on their website.
