March 2015 Boxycharm Review

Hey Boxycharm, haven’t seen ya in a while! Yeah, I’ve been a little lax about unboxings since they’ve all been coming so sporadically at different times during the month. But finally my March 2015 Boxycharm came with time to spare and share with you all.

March 2015 Boxycharm Review | Slashed Beauty

This month we got a really awesome selection of products to get us ready for spring, check out the video below for a closer look at each item:

Product Breakdown:

1. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in “Charmed” (Full Size, $24)
This is such a pretty, vibrant pink for spring! This lip tint goes on balmy and can be built up for more intense color payoff if that’s how you roll. Get 20% off your next online tarte purchase with the code BOXYAPRIL between 4/1/15 and 4/10/15 on their website.

2. OFRA Eyeliner (Full Size, $13)
Loving this navy blue to add a pop of color to the eyes. The pencil applies smoothly and is apparently also lip friendly… I feel an experiment makeup look on the horizon! I like that this is sensitive eye friendly since teary eyes are the worst enemy of a beautiful makeup look.

3. LVX Nail Lacquer (Full Size, $16)
Lemondrop is such an appropriate pastel yellow for this season. This vegan and 5-free polish has a gel-like formula that can apparently withstand a long time without chipping. I’m excited to put it to the test.

4. Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo (Travel Size, $11)
This is a really generous travel size of dry shampoo, which will come in super handy next month when I go on a week-long trip overseas! Because, let’s get real, washing your hair usually takes a backseat during vacations… am I right? Oh, just me? K…

5. Previse Nutrify Skin Type 1-6 Universal Tonic (Full Size, $48)
This tonic seems like a toner and serum in one, which is supposed to hydrate and soothe irritations. There’s no discernible scent to the tonic, and it has a very thin liquid consistency. This will be nice to use in the morning once it starts getting warmer!

This was a home run of a spring-themed subscription box! Boxycharm is $21 a month and have always sent exciting and trendy products— not to mention full size (or close to it). Check them out on their website.

I love Ofra and Oscar Blandi! I missed out on my box this month. There was some weird billing issue and then it ended up charging 3 times (all pending so I was able to stop them). They never replied to my tweets or email soooo probably not continuing with this one. I did like the products they sent, though!

Well that is incredibly frustrating! 🙁

My box was pretty similar to yours. I got black eyeliner (I’d wish it had been navy), my polish was coral, and I got a volumizing mousse instead of dry shampoo. The Tarte lip color in Charmed was my favorite item. I didn’t have that color yet. I thought it was a pretty decent box.

Ooh, glad I didn’t get the mousse because lord knows I’ve got enough volume! Wish I had gotten the coral polish!

I just got my March box, too! I will say, this box was probably the least-exciting one I’ve ever received. I think the only thing I was somewhat excited for was the Tarte lip product. But even that isn’t really in my color, so I plan to give it to my sisters to use. It wasn’t horrible — and price-wise, they always make it totally worth the $21. But, as a whole, I just wasn’t as impressed with the contents I received in this box.

Did you get the same shade in nail polish and eyeliner as I did? I was curious if they mixed them up!

No, my nail polish was a pinky-coral. I like it, though I find you have to do three coats for it not to be streaky looking. And my OFRA pencil was a brown color 🙂
