The L’Oreal Skin Paradise Tinted Moisturizer Blew My Mind!

Dewy skin lovers, this one’s for you: the new L’Oreal Skin Paradise Water-Infused Tinted Moisturizer is here to boost your glow.

REVIEW: L'Oreal Skin Paradise Water Infused Tinted Moisturizer for Combo Skin | Slashed Beauty

Look slightly familiar? This product originally launched in the UK and Australia earlier this year with the name Skin Paradise Tinted Water Cream, but was renamed and repackaged for this month’s US launch. The claims are the same, though: lightweight and natural coverage, up to 24 hours of hydration, won’t clog your pores, and the protection of SPF 19. Sounds like a perfect winter go-to, if you ask me!

What’s interesting about this formula is that it’s actually 70% water, which allows it to melt into the skin for an appearance that looks hardly like makeup. Its consistency is thin but not runny, and it really feels like you’re applying a serum-like product as you blend it onto the face.

For a product that’s labelled as a tinted moisturizer, the coverage seriously blew me away. I got more out of this than most medium-coverage drugstore foundations I own! It was able to considerably conceal my hyperpigmentation and acne— not completely, but maybe 80% at least— and even out my skin tone with a gorgeous glowy finish. My skin looked naturally clear, radiant and healthy.

REVIEW: L'Oreal Skin Paradise Water Infused Tinted Moisturizer for Combo Skin | Does it oxidize? | Slashed Beauty
Medium 2 freshly swatched, then oxidized after 20 minutes.

The one downside I found is that these shades oxidize on the warmer side as they set on the skin. Above you can see a swatch of the tinted moisturizer freshly swatched (top) and after 20 minutes (bottom). The shade deepens and becomes a bit more orange. Had I known this, I would have gone one shade up from what I thought was a good match for me. In all the face photos in this post, I’m wearing Medium 1, but I think a better match would have been Light 3.

REVIEW: L'Oreal Skin Paradise Water Infused Tinted Moisturizer for Combo Skin | Before and After 8 Hours | Slashed Beauty

As someone with combination skin, I was a bit worried about the dewiness. I tend to get shiny in my t-zone throughout the day, which often causes product breakdown especially around my nose and chin. However, hours passed and while I did see the glow intensify a little, the coverage stayed intact and smooth without any patchiness or smears. Even the pores on my nose were still covered and blurred— now that’s crazy! I was also happy to see that there was no visible fading, not even near the few raised blemishes I had. Above you can see the before and after 8 hours of wear… still looking pretty fresh you ask me!

Finally, this just feels good on my skin, plain and simple. With ingredients like aloe vera and with hazel, my skin feels nourished and balanced.

This tinted moisturizer has become a go-to in these dry months. I just love how radiant and healthy my skin looks while wearing it, and it gives me the perfect amount of coverage while feeling virtually nonexistent. You can find the L’Oreal Skin Paradise Water-Infused Tinted Moisturizer for $16.99.

I saw your video with this stuff too and I was pretty amazed. It’s a tad expensive for drugstore, but still loads cheaper than the It Cosmetics one I’ve been using. I’m definitely gonna have to pick one of these bad boys up! Good to know it oxidizes too so I get the right shade! Thanks for the great review as always. Happy New Year to you and Adam! 🙂 <3

I’m definitely noticing a rise in prices at drugstore. I think brands like AOA are going to become more popular for drugstore lovers because of it!
