Thanks to St. Ives for sponsoring this post!

Is it me, or does time move more quickly as the end of the year approaches? Maybe it’s just because there’s so much to do. I’m slowly getting ready to travel for Thanksgiving next week (it’s the first time I’m bringing Adam “home to the family”… it’s about time after three years, don’t you think?), but before I switch into vacation mode I’ve got to tie up some loose ends at school. Before finals start in December, I’ve got a ton of projects due this week. In an effort to make this week brighter, I’m going to focus on putting my best effort into my schoolwork so that I can feel confident and finish my classes with a positive outlook. If this week goes smoothly, so will the rest of the semester. Speaking of smooth, I’ve been using a new face scrub that has been keeping my skin super smooth!

Review: St. Ives Even & Bright Scrub

The St. Ives Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub is the newest scrub from the brand, and it’s been a skin saver. With my combo skin, I do experience dry patches during this time of year—mostly around my jaw and temples. The natural exfoliants in this product help polish them away, and leave my skin feeling great.

I’m sure you’ve heard people rave about the St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub, and I’ve also been a fan of the cult favorite for a while now. However, this new scrub has a much different texture. The apricot scrub has medium sized exfoliants that do a great job at buffing away dead and dry skin, but can feel a little harsh when I use it every day.

Review: St. Ives Even & Bright Scrub

The new Even & Bright scrub uses natural silica as the exfoliants, which feel much more fine and even. The particles are small, which lend for a gentler scrub. Even though they feel smoother than the apricot exfoliants, there are so many packed into the product so you still get a medium strength exfoliation, but one that is more tolerable for every day use across skin types. On the back of every scrub is an exfoliator meter, so you can tell which scrub is right for you based on your skin type and sensitivity.

Like the other products in the Even & Bright collection, the scrub contains vitamin C, which is known to help brighten and even out skin tone, as well as protect and repair skin cells. On top of that, I absolutely love the sweet citrus scent!

After using this for the first time, I immediately noticed a difference in the texture of my skin. I was surprised at how smooth it felt as I was applying my normal creams afterward. I use this a couple times a week now to keep dry skin away and get all of the benefits from the vitamin C. Definitely gonna keep this handy throughout the season to keep my skin smooth and bright! You can find the St. Ives Even & Bright Scrub in drugstores for around $5. Score!

How often do you scrub?

I love their scrubs but now I really want to try this scrub out since the beads are finer. Perfect for my sensitive skin.

I scrub once a month. I make a home made formula

I didn’t realize that Even & Bright uses silica – I found the original scrub a bit harsh for my face so that’s awesome to know!

yes! the particles feel much more smooth than the apricot, which just feels more comfortable for more frequent use, at least for me… but it still gets the job done, let me tell ya!
