Holiday Makeup Tutorial: Green Smoky Eye

It’s officially the holiday season, my friends. KOST is playing non stop Christmas carols, BB&B has dusted off the menorahs for the only Hanukkah display in the valley, and I’ve started playing with looks to wear for holiday events.

Jewel tones are my favorite for holiday makeup looks. Here's one I've been wearing using the ULTA Beauty Metals Eye Shadow Palette: a green smoky eye with a bold lip. I’ve been swimming in all of the holiday releases and gift sets, including the three new Ecotools brush kits that would make perfect gifts. They just released the Festive & Flawless Set with five face brushes (two of which can double for eyeshadow), and the Mini Essentials Holiday Set which have three small brushes perfect for on the go. The best in my opinion, though, is the Four-Piece Beautiful Complexion Set which bundles their complete Complexion Collection (my favorite brushes of theirs) and the packaging folds into a gift box! You can even get a coupon to save $3 off in-store at Walgreens for this last one.

On top of the awesome brushes coming out, I also freaked out when I saw that ULTA Beauty released their Metals Eye Shadow palette and knew I wanted to create a holiday look with it. I settled on this green smoky eye look with a punchy lip. Watch the video below for the full tutorial!

    1. I saw the Metals palette last time I was in Ulta, but they didn’t have a tester out yet. I was curious, because the finish didn’t look metallic. I love the look you created, though. I have the Rose Gold one, and I was very impressed with the quality. The brush that came with it was really good, too.

    2. i looooove this look! Good job! I don’t have that palette or trio, so I will have to figure out my own combo 🙂
Those brushes look niiiice… I may have to go looking for those 😀
