How to Get Asymmetrical Red Streaks with Garnier Color Styler

This post brought to you by Garnier and Style Coalition.

This fall, we’re seeing a huge trend in hair color. From the runway to the streets, people are dawning funky and stand-out shades in their hair! While I love this look, I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to taking big risks with my own mane.

    Garnier Color Styler

I recently discovered Garnier Color Styler, a new product that lets you add bold color to your hair that comes out in just a few washes. This is great when you want to step outside of the box for a special event without making the commitment to a crazy color. I’m having a girl’s night out this weekend, and I thought this was the perfect time to spice up my hair!

I teamed up with Garnier to show you how to use the Color Styler, and let you in on how you can become Garnier Color Styler’s 72 hour spokesmodel! Check out my tutorial below:

Color Styler is easy to use, and I was surprised that it showed up so well on my dark hair. I’ve actually cut my hair since I filmed this, and adding color is one way I’m making the change more interesting, since I can’t do a lot of my old favorite styles. There are 5 different shades, and I’m definitely trying the purple next!

On to the fun stuff: Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be crowned the Funnest Girl in the World? Snap a selfie showing off your Color Styled hair and share it on Instagram with #FunnestGirl, and you could become the Garnier Color Styler spokesmodel for 72 hours! Be sure to include a caption telling us why you should win. See the official rules and details on their website.

If you could add any color to your hair temporarily, what would it be?

    1. the red looks great for you. That’s good to know this worked well. I loved the Redken but just did not like how dry my hair was after. AFter reading the comments on my post, it seems I am not the only one who experienced the same. I’m gonna try again with smaller sections… but still have yet to get all the color out of my hair from the last time. ;/ I will try this one out now since I seen it in store.

    2. Your streaks look great. Purple would be pretty with your hair colour, too.

I would like to try this product. I need to try to find it. I’d like to try pink, blue. Maybe lavender. I do wonder if they would stain my blonde hair… If so, there is always Pravana, I guess. LOL

    3. I think those streaks are a total success in your hair! I would love to try it, but my colorist to whom I pay zillions of dollars a year would kill me. 😉
