Beauty Bloggers’ Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products

bbctransSo I’m scrolling through my Bloglovin’ feed a few nights ago, reading all these wonderful posts about beautiful products that I can’t afford (well maybe I can but then I wouldn’t be able to pay for my Disneyland pass payment… #firstworldproblems). Man that makes me feel crappy! I mean, that’s the whole reason I started Slashed Beauty: to help fuel makeup addictions everywhere for budgeting beauties. I asked my fellow beauty bloggers in the Beauty Blog Coalition what their favorite drugstore beauty products were. Let’s see what they had to say!

Jen from My Beauty Bunny: “Rosehip Moisturizing Body Lotion – Nuance by Salma Hayek. It’s moisturizing but not heavy or greasy, and it’s cruelty free! You can purchase at CVS stores in the US.”

Krystle from Baking Beauty: “Revlon ColorStay foundation because it is full coverage and lasts all day.”

Kath from The Fabzilla: “SoHo Beauty Sponge, sold at Walmart, is a close dupe for beauty blender at half the price.”

Elise from and Angela from Lipgloss Break agree that Essie polishes take the cake. “Nothing puts a smile on my face like Essie – Bachelorette Bash. It’s the perfect vivid fuschia for fingers and toes, and it’s great year round,” says Elise. Angela agrees, “I love that you can now buy Essie nail polish at CVS. Spaghetti Strap is my go to for an everyday mani that will match anything I wear.”

Ashley form Peek and Ponder: “Nivea Touch of Renewal Lathering Body Scrub. My legs have never felt smoother. I have repurchased several times!

Leticia from Cosmetics Aficinoado: “I love Milani’s eyeshadow primer. It keeps my shadows crease free all day!”

Sheila from Painted Ladies: “The best eyeshadow bargains you’ll ever find are Wet n Wild’s Color Icon shadow palettes. They are extremely pigmented and are just as good quality as many higher end brands.”

Tashina from Logical Harmony: “Wet n Wild Cover All Foundation. It has great coverage, wears really well, has a decent color range, and it’s cruelty free.”

Amber from Day Dreaming Beauty: “I love CoverGirl Clump Crusher mascara! No clumps or smudging and it’s gentle on my sensitive eyes!”

Lisa from Cosmetic Sanctuary: “Milani Color Statement Raspberry Rush Lipstick! Gorgeous color and under $6.00!”

Both Jessika from Polish Insomniac and Casey from Beauty 101 Blog choose Maybelline The Falsies “Big Eyes” Mascara. Jessika says, “I love the dual brushes. I use the one that you are supposed to use on your bottom lashes as my first coat and the regular brush as my second coat. I am on my third tube!” Casey adds, “It gives my lashes an almost feathery look while separating and lengthening.”

Sunny from Vegan Beauty Review: “I’m really diggin’ e.l.f.’s Studio Mineral Infused Mascara. It’s only $3, it’s super easy to apply, and it gets the job done.”

Kendra from Citizens of Beauty: “e.l.f. baked eyeshadows! Great pigment and only $3.00!”

Jeanie from Midnight Manicures: “Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat – My go-to fast drying top coat for all types of manicures. Also, works great for nail art and priced at about $5.”

Jessica from Intru Beauty: “Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded. It’s the perfect neutral color that women of all ages can wear. It can act as a base to layer other shadows over or serve as a stand alone color. The staying power is amazing and it won’t crease… all this for around $6!”

Justina from Justina’s Gems: “Curel Itch Defense lotion- it comes in a large pump bottle, is available at the drug store, and is safe for me and everyone in the family; anyone over 6 months is safe to use it. It’s perfect for my skin as the weather changes.”

Phyrra and Kat from Kat Stays Polished both love Jesse’s Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. “[It’s] pretty amazing. It gives you a fine tip so you can just darken the lash line or you can wing it out for a great cat eye. It gives you great control,” explains Phyrra.  Kat insists, “Out of ALL the liquid eye liners that I have tried, THIS is the only one that works for me. The Japanese style calligraphy pen makes it so easy for anyone to apply liner. It’s also soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re ‘drawing’ on your eyes. It stays on all day and it’s super pigmented. For $6.99, it’s a bargain!”

Liesl from Liesl Loves Pretty Things: “I’ve been in LOVE St. Ives Apricot Scrub. It’s moisturizing, smells delicious (like fresh apricots), and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth.”

Marcia from Beauty Info Zone: “Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips Cream Liners are the best gel eyeliners. You get 3 eyeliners in one package and they wear beautifully. They are on the verge of being discontinued though so if you can find them, stock up.”

Honey from Honeygirl’s World: “Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and Liners. It’s one of my top 10 favorites when it comes to drug store. It’s not drying on my lips – the matte ones and the lip liners are my go-to now. I haven’t been using any other liners. I also love love love NYC Sunny Bronzer!”

Thanks for your input, ladies! My pick would have to be the Revlon Lip Butters. I gravitate towards them every single time I drop by the drugstore. There’s a shade for everybody and they feel amazing on your lips. Most offer pretty amazing pigment as well! Do you share any favorites with these bloggers? What are your favorite drugstore beauty finds?

    1. Thanks for sharing my favorite Miranda! I loved seeing what my beauty loving friends are using. I added a few things to my drugstore to-buy list! 🙂
What are your favorite shades of the Revlon Lip Butters?

    2. A lot of my faves were mentioned like the Milani Color Statement lipsticks. I’ll add essence I Love Crazy Extreme mascara for $4.99 for huge lashes and essence gel-look topcoat $2.49 for a mani that lasts me about a week

    3. I love Revlon ColorStay and Cover Girl Clump Crusher mascara. I am wedded to Aussie 3 Minute Miracle as a leave in, it makes my dyed blonde and highlighted hair feel like silk. 🙂
