There’s a new subscription box in town and I’m loving it! The Beyond Her Blush box is a beauty subscription that delivers 5-6 products curated by iconic celebrity stylists to you every month.
The products they send come together to create a complete look that’s on trend, and on the insert explaining all of the products there is a link to a YouTube video for a tutorial on how to use them all together. No more random grab-bags of boxes with samples you end up stuffing away into a drawer. This box is all about ease of use and getting your hands on quality products on a budget.
The Beyond Her Blush box costs $20/month (or $18/mo if you sign up for 6 months in advance). Brands that have been featured so far include City Color Cosmetics, Glamour Dolls, and Chella. The box I just received had the theme “Beyond the Nails,” and included six products to elevate my nail game this season. The products were curated by Stephanie from Nail It! Magazine, who wanted to focus on floral shades and pigmented brights.
Her first pick was a prep item for starting out the perfect manicure: the Take My Hand Nail Sheet Pack from Beautique. It’s a nail mask that contains milk proteins and acas berries to moisturize the skin and cuticles. I constantly struggle with dry cuticles ruining the overall look of a fresh mani, so these will definitely be a welcome addition to my nail routine.
Next, we got three botles of Mosi Mei Nail Polish. Stephanie suggests trying out an abstract floral design by starting out with the nail polish in “Passionate” (purple) and randomly dabbing it on nude nails. Then, continue with Daring (red) and Witty (teal) with more abstract dabbing to create the illusion of flowers. This nail polish is really pigmented with a great consistency that makes it easy to spread over the nail but also thin enough so that it doesn’t glob up when you’re dabbing it. As an all over shade, you can just about get away with one coat.
While I initially found it a little odd that these were included, toothpicks are such versatile nail tools that they’re no-brainers. They can be used as dotting tools, which is great for a floral design to add dots in between the dabbed “petals,” but also help clean up around the cuticle if you overstepped the nail and got polish on your skin.
I’m loving the Mosi Mei Glass Top Coat they included in the box. It creates a gel-like finish that adds a ton of shine and also makes my nail feel strong and thicker. Once your floral design is done, add a coat of this and you’re done!
I think the Beyond Her Blush box fills in the gap between people who want to try new products and people who aren’t necessarily sure how to use them! It’s also a great source of inspiration since they give you a look to recreate. Plus, it’s a great value— one bottle of Mosi Mei nail polish alone is usually $15 per bottle, so you’re getting $60 worth of nail polish alone for just $20.
You can subscribe to the Beyond Her Blush Box and find out more about the other stylists they have curating their boxes on their website.
