Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine

When I’m looking to achieve a quick makeup look that will get me out the door with a fresh look, nothing beats the convenience of stick makeup. Stick makeup products are usually twist-up or crayon-style cream formulas that are easy to swipe on for a low maintenance and quick makeup routine. I love stick makeup when I’m in a hurry but still want to feel put together, as I can get a full look with less products and less tools!

Here are my favorite drugstore stick makeup products to create a full face of makeup.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Foundation Stick | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

1. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Foundation Stick ($12.42 on Amazon)

This is my favorite drugstore foundation stick for several reasons: you get solid medium coverage that can be sheered out for lighter application if you want. This formula blends super easily with a sponge, brush, or even your fingers. It has a dewy skin finish that looks gorgeous and bouncy, though can lean shiny if you have oily skin. Powdering will help extend the wear, especially in the t-zone.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick Contour | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

2. Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick Contour ($4.49 at Ulta Beauty)

This affordable contour stick is great whether you want a natural, subtle contour or a dramatic sculpting effect. It’s pigmented, creamy, and blends out seamlessly. As it wears throughout the day, it fades slightly but evenly— it doesn’t look patchy or streaky.

Physicians Formula Natural Defense Multicolor Stick | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

3. Physicians Formula Natural Defense Multicolor Stick ($11.49 on Amazon)

Loving this new release from Physician’s Formula, because not only is it a very pigmented cream blush but it also contains SPF for sun protection, PPF for pollution protection and RPF for blue light protection! This makeup stick can actually be used in several different ways: as blush, as a cream eyeshadow or on the lips! I prefer using it as blush, though, as it does dry down to a slightly powdery finish.

Physicians Formula Dewy Highlighter | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

4. Physicians Formula Dewy Highlighter ($11.99 at Ulta Beauty)

I’m really picky with my highlighters, and this one really impressed me! This organic formula features jojoba oil, aloe vera, and botanical cactus flower that nourishes the skin as you wear it and dries down for a cream-to-powder finish that still looks dewy. You can really create a beaming highlight or go for a more natural glow.

Wet n Wild Pump Keep Going Eyeshadow Stick | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

5. Wet n Wild Pump Keep Going Eyeshadow Stick ($4.99 at CVS)

While these are becoming a bit harder to find, they are hands down the best eyeshadow sticks at the drugstore. They glide on the lid with a ton of color payoff and set to a budge-proof, sweat-proof finish. I have an in-depth review in this post where I talk about how the color lasted through a high-intensity workout!

Honest Beauty Lip Crayons | Best Drugstore Stick Makeup for a Quick Routine | Slashed Beauty

6. Honest Beauty Lip Crayons ($13.29 on Amazon)

if you’re a fan of hydrating lip formulas, this chubby lip crayon is for you! The Honest Beauty Lush Sheer Lip Crayons give you sheer but buildable color and a slight shine in one swipe. They feel so cushy and balmy on the lips and keep them moisturized for hours! The formula contains coconut oil, murumuru butter and shea butter for a conditioning feel that’s comfortable and a nice break from the matte lipstick craze.

Here’s a full look I created with all of this drugstore stick makeup– it only took 10 minutes and is a great staple everyday makeup routine! The shades I used are:

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Foundation Stick in Natural Beige
Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick in Call Me Maple
Physicians Formula Natural Defense Multicolor Stick in Natural Rose
Physicians Formula Dewy Highlighter in Dew Frost
Wet n Wild Pump Keep Going Eyeshadow Sticks in Protein Shake & Running Naked
Honest Beauty Lip Crayon in Sheer Rose
