5 Inspiring Neon Makeup Looks from Instagram

If there’s any time to try neon makeup, it’s during summer. The bright, bold colors are perfect for summer vibes, especially when you have time off to just explore shades outside of your go-tos.

I personally love neon makeup looks– they’re eye catching and unapologetic, really making a statement. I often save colorful makeup photos on Instagram as inspiration for when I feel like I’m in a rut.

Check out these five inspiring neon makeup looks from Instagram, and be sure to give the creators a follow if you like what you see!

    My Favorite Neon Makeup Products:

    1. Rainbow Sparkles by @raphaelamua

First of all… brow goals, am I right? Second, I’m obsessed with how @raphaelamua made this look like a neon glitter explosion, complete with sequins and a colorful waterline!

    2. Neon Lights by @sarahmagicmakeup

I absolutely love this interpretation of “neon” makeup. @sarahmagicmakeup made her face look like a literal neon sign with the glowy effect and white detailing. Genius!

    Avant Garde by @cphairmakeup

A post shared by Carlos Palma (@cphairmakeup) on

This look isn’t for the faint of heart. @cphairmakeup created this over-the-top look for a class at the London MakeUp School. Everywhere you look, there’s a fun shade or texture that he created with candy. It makes me want to try gluing candy to my own face!

    4. Feeling Dotty by @makeup.by.elisaa

Here’s a more wearable neon makeup look for those who just want to dip their toe in. @makeup.by.elisaa placed neon dots over a classic black winged liner, and added a colorful lower lash line for an extra pop. While she also added sequins for effect, this is an easy one to recreate at home with makeup you may already have to get started!

    5. Pride Butterflies by @dani.looks

@dani.looks created this Pride makeup look with the most delicate neon butterflies! The effect is done by using a darker color in the same shade to border the white/lighter shades for a glowing effect.
