Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection

I know spring is usually all about bright colors, but I’m not sure it quite beats out a beautiful muted pastel. The new Zoya Naturel Satins collection consists of six polishes that I’ve been wearing constantly this season, all with a delicate satin matte finish. They don’t fit into your traditional, easter egg pastel shades, but more of a neutral selection for any occasion and outfit pairing.

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Ana | Slashed Beauty

Ana is a light pinkish beige shade. This one’s great when you want something simple, or you could use it as a canvas for nail art!

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Brittany | Slashed Beauty

Brittany is a dusty rose that I totally prefer over your typical baby pink.

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Leah | Slashed Beauty

Leah is a light gray that has a slight lavender undertone to it.

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Rowan | Slashed Beauty

Rowan is a cool toned taupe that also leans pretty gray.

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Sage | Slashed Beauty

Sage is one of my favorites— a cool mossy sage green. Greens are my favorite for spring, they just say “fresh” to me.

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins Collection - Tove | Slashed Beauty

Tove is a slate gray with strong blue undertones.

I really like the soft matte finish that the Naturel Satins dry down to. I think it looks cleaner than your typical flat matte, and retains a little bit of shine (similar, but less textured than their Matte Velvet collection from Fall). Although these do lean more creamy, they will still end up showing any unevenness you have on the nail, so buff out any imperfections prior to application if necessary. As with most matte finishes, these dry in a flash which makes them easy to work with. It takes about two thin layers across the board to get full opacity with these cream polishes.

You can pick these up online for $9 each on Zoya.com.

What’s your take: easter egg pastels or neutral pastels for spring?

I’m not usually into “natural” or pastel nail colors, but these are a very pretty mix of the two. Nice!

Tove & Sage are my faves in this collection, but unfortunately I don’t love the satin finish

      Any particular reason why not?

A shiny topcoat would take care of the finish!

There are so many pretty glossy pastels out there including Zoya’s other new pastel collection that I think I can pass on the Satins without feeling guilty.
